About ZCoin

Zcoin is all about the user privacy and as such, the main objective of Zcoin is to make the all transactions untraceable and senders/recipients anonymous. Developers achieve this by using what is called Zero-Knowledge Proof, a protocol which utilizes advanced mathematical concepts enabling anonymity.

As such, the newly mined XZC coins are different from spendable coins. This separation-the minting and spending phases- is what creates anonymity because each redeemable coin has no transactional history for people to countercheck or even analyze. Users actually have to wipe clean the transactional history of each minted ZEC coin, provide a mathematic proof showing that they actually did it before the coin is redeemed for spending.

This separation unfortunately takes memory and requires a lot of computing power to be effected.
