About Storj
Storj was introduced as an ICO in 19 May 2017 and was released in 25 May 2017 by Shawn Wilkinson, Tome Boshevski, James Prestwich and, John Quinn. Storj is a platform, cryptocurrency, and suite of decentralized applications that allows users to store data in a secure and decentralized manner. A peer-to-peer cloud storage network implementing client-side encryption would allow users to transfer and share data without reliance on a third party storage provider. Storj aims to become a cloud storage platform that can’t be censored or monitored, or have downtime. Storj uses proof-of-concept where it allows you to mine with disk space by sharing your disk space for coins. Since Storj is built on Ethereum, block time and transaction fees will depend on Ethereum blockchain.
